For patients who prefer to whiten their smile at their own pace and from the convenience of their own home, we also offer a take-home solution. Clear trays are custom-made to fit your bite to provide comfortable, easy treatment. When you are ready to use them, you will fill your trays with a specially formulated gel that can break apart stubborn stains. Depending on your cosmetic goals and extensiveness of staining, Dr. Shainholtz will instruct you as to how long and how frequently they should be worn.

Teeth whitening may not be the best solution for all patients. Those who are suffering from periodontal disease significantly decayed or damaged teeth, or worn enamel are not generally good candidates for this treatment. Restorative treatment can help restore candidacy for many patients suffering from  oral health concern. For those with worn enamel or staining that is too deep for whitening to address, we also offer porcelain veneers. These restorations can often be used as a substitute without significant alteration to the natural structure of your teeth.
